Worbo Inc. specializes in providing cost effective structural engineering services in Peterborough and the surrounding area. We have maintained a Certificate of Authorization with the Professional Engineers of Ontario since 2005.
Ryan Worral, P.Eng. is the principal structural engineer at Worbo Inc. Ryan is a Peterborough native who has earned his Bachelor of Engineering Degree from McMaster University in Hamilton. He has over 12 years of structural engineering design and analysis experience on all types of building projects including:
- Residential, commercial and institutional construction (timber, steel, masonry, concrete)
- Timber decks and railing systems
- Reinforced concrete slabs (engineered slabs)
- Industrial steel platforms, mezzanines and overhead cranes
- Concrete and timber retaining walls
- Flood and fire damage analysis
- Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews in accordance with OHSA
Ryan has a thorough understanding of the Ontario Building Code related to structural design and the application of loading requirements for strength and serviceability including:
- Dynamic Wind loading
- Seismic loading
- Snow loads and snow drift
- Live loads
- Dead loads
- Effects due to contraction or expansion caused by temperature changes
- Earth and hydrostatic pressure
